About the author

JD Matter was born at his Chicago home in 1976. During that final quarter of the 20th century, he became a martial arts instructor, served as an infantry paratrooper in the US Army, and obtained a degree in art and computer science. He moved to Florida with his wife in 2002 for the love of the tropics he found there. It was then that he wrote the Shadow of the Tyrant King series, purely for his love of writing, and with no serious intent to publish. As with his writing, with no serious intent to be successful, he began to make theological, philosophical, and comical animations and videos on YouTube in 2008. Today those videos have been seen hundreds of millions of times by people around the world. Interest in his work inspired him to finally release the first book of his Shadow of the Tyrant King trilogy to the public in 2023, with the final book to be published in 2024. After that, JD Matter looks forward to publishing new exciting material already in the works.
