About the author

Richard Gross holds degrees in Psychology & Philosophy and the Sociology of Education & Mass Communications. Following a career in teaching, the runaway success of first book, Psychology: The Science of Mind and Behaviour, made it possible for him to switch direction and focus on writing. His other best-selling books include Themes, Issues and Debates in Psychology, Key Studies in Psychology, Psychology for Nurses and Allied Health Professionals, and Understanding Grief: An Introduction. Since 2006, he has been working as a supporter, trainer and supervisor with Cruse Bereavement Support, the UK’s largest bereavement charity. He is blessed with six grandchildren and one great-grandchild and continues to support his beloved Tottenham Hotspur.
