About the author

Sara Rian is a mother, partner, licensed therapist, and griever living in Metro Detroit, Michigan. She began writing poetry infused with a dark, femme fatale style in 2018 as a casual hobby. Later that same year, her mother died by suicide. Sara wrote poems as a way to process the grief. As a mental health professional, suicide loss survivor, and grieving human, she wanted to publish and share her work with others in hopes of providing comfort and letting others know that they are not alone.
