About the author

I’m a Purpose Chaser, the CEO and Founder of EmpowHERment, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering every woman through growth, connection, and inspiration. Through all-inclusive programs, networking events, and workshops, my team and I have helped countless women in the community build a sense of agency, achieve their goals, and realize their full potential. I am often described as the woman who lost her father, which inspired me to start EmpowHERment, but there is so much more to my story. I walk by faith, not by sight. A determined community leader by day, and a homebody by night. I love to travel and have an occasional brunch with my girls, I am also a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur. Through my purpose, I realized how important it is for others to find theirs. As part of my many offerings to this world, I consult other purpose chasers on starting and amplifying their nonprofits through foundational development, securing funding including fundraising, grants, events, and strategizing. Using my graduate degree (Master’s in Nonprofit Management), I have become a steward of positive change. If there’s one thing I am passionate about, it is helping others find purpose through nonprofit work. My journey hasn’t been easy, but it has been purposeful, inspirational and rewarding, I look forward to connecting with you to hear about yours!
