About the author

Julia Reesor is a Canadian poet and writer based in Ontario, Canada. While free writing in her journal and the occasional diner napkin, she used poetry and prose as a form of self-expression to help her understand the experiences she endured and the feelings that accompanied them. While her poems capture some of the darkest moments associated with childhood trauma, grief, and healing, her words are close to her heart and for all to read. Julia now lives close to the beach in Ontario, where she is reminded of the waves of childhood trauma and grief that once swallowed her out to sea. Except now, the shore is where she writes.
